DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd, sponsored by Camus Consulting and the Bissett Family amd supported by the Zwartbles Sheep Association, (November, 24th) sold 65 Pedigree, Pure and Cross Bred Zwartbles.
Dingwall's Annual Highland Zwartbles Sale sold sheep up and down the country. Selling locally, commercially and as far south as Kendal.
The Pre-Show Sale showed the quality in flocks from the North of Scotland. The show was in the capable hands of Mrs Nicola Henderson from the Aquila Flock, Stirling.

Top Price of the day was from Sammy Stewart's homebred Ewe Janetstown Eynhallow who was champion in the pre-sale show who after several ringside and phone bidders the 5 Crop Ewe was knocked down at £1,050 to Mrs Lorraine Crum from the Torranyard Flock in Kilmarnock. The Reserve Champion Janetstown Glow was sold at £1,020 following suit joining the Torranyard Flock.
The first-place ewe lamb in the pre-sale show Janetstown Ladyship was knocked down and £500 to Mr Andrew Bateman who travelled from Kendal and joins the Holmepride Flock. Local longtime consigners and supporters of Dingwall Mart Messrs Carrie, Sarah and Iain Bissett, Carrah hit £360 with homebred Carrah Latte who sold away to the judge Nicola Henderson heading south to Stirling and the Aquila flock. From Forres Messrs Jen Birtles and Lesley Grant, Romach sold to £280 for Romach Lusitania who sells away to consigner Sammy Stewart of the Janetstown flock.
The sale also highlights the breed as a commercial breed with crosses hitting £111 from Munro, Drumancroy, Portmahomack. £110 was also hit twice from J. MacLeod, Portgower, Sutherland.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd, (April 1st) sold 8,772 sheep of all classes, including the annual spring sale of ewe lambs with an overall sale averaged of £122.09. Ewe Lambs (4,806) sold to £270 gross for a pen of Blue Texels from Broombank, Culloden Moor.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (April 2nd) sold 1,499 Prime Sheep. Old Season Lambs (765) averaged 311.0p per kg and sold to 365.0p per kg for a pair of Beltex crosses from Torgorm, Conon Bridge and £182 gross for a pair of Rouges from Ellis Park, Conon Bridge.

Bullocks (442) averaged 391.6p per kg and sold to 600.0p per kg for a 200kg Limousin crosses from Clovullin, Fort William and £2,300 gross for a 580kg Charolais cross from The Cloy, Fortrose.
