DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (May, 18th) sold 59 pedigree and commercial Luing cattle at their third annual spring breeding sale sponsored by W & A Geddes and Harbro Ltd.
Pedigree bulling heifers (52) averaged �1,343.39 and sold to 1750gns (�1,837.50) for a pair of 25 month old heifers from Messrs A L & A C McCall, Culmailly Farm, Golspie, to the judge, Mr Philip Simmers, Backmuir Trading Ltd, Keith.
Commercial bulling heifers (4) averaged �934.50 and sold to 1020gns (�1,071) for a 24 month old Luing cross from Mr G. Towns, Easdale, Turriff, to Backmuir Trading Ltd.
Bulls (1) sold to 2800gns for a 24 month old from Welbeck Scottish Farms Ltd, Ousdale, Berriedale, to Messrs J & K Mackenzie, 24 Borve, Isle of Skye.

Cow with male calf (5) sold to �1,250 gross for an Aberdeen Angus cross cow with a Limousin cross calf from Muirends Croft, Munlochy.
Cow with female calf (4) sold to �2,500 gross for a Limousin cross cow with a Limousin cross calf from Smallburn Farms Ltd.
In calf cows (2) sold to �930 gross for a Blonde d'Aquitaine cross from 209 East Doll, Brora.
In calf heifers (11) sold to �950 gross twice for Limousin crosses from Mid Clochforbie, Turriff.
Bulls (1) sold to �2000 gross for a Limousin from Clury Farm, Dulnain Bridge.
