Bullocks (431) averaged 322.8p and sold to 391.3p per kg and £1,850 gross.

For a 641kg British Blue Cross from J & R Allan, Gillock Mains, Gillock.

Aberdeen-Angus Bullocks (131) averaged 312.8p and sold to 347.3p per kg
for 383kgs from Greenvale, Dunnet and £1,805 gross from 5 Upper Dounreay,
Thurso.
Heifers (301) averaged 305.5p and sold to 401.4 per kg and £1,710 gross for
a 426kg Limousin Cross from Dunbeath Farms, Dunbeath.
Aberdeen-Angus Heifers (33) averaged 275.5p and sold to 291.7p per kg
from Inkstack (Mackenzie), Barrock and £1,650 gross for a 599kg from Kirkfield
Farm, Castletown.
Champion in the Highland News & Media kindly sponsored show and sale was
a 426kg Limousin Cross Heifer from Dunbeath Farms, Dunbeath and achieved
£1,710. Reserve was a 641kg British Blue cross Heifer from J & R Allan, Gillock
Mains, Gillock and sold for £1,850.
In the Young Farmers Show & Sale of Overwintered Cattle Kindly Sponsored
by A H Mackay, West Greenland the Overall Champion was a 505kg Limousin
Heifer from Hannah Levack, Dunbeath Mains and realised £3,600 to judge
Angus Greenlaw, Sheep Park Farms, Bridge of Marnoch, Huntly. The Reserve
Champion was a 501kg Limousin Heifer was also from Hannah Levack which
sold for £3,000 to W Robertson & Son, Fodderletter, Tomintoul. Both Heifers
were bred by U MacDonald, Lower Cairnglass, Ardersier.
The winner of the W & A Geddes Perpetual Trophy for the best Daily Live
Weight Gain of 1.247kg per Day was for a 512kg Limousin Heifer from Sophie
Gunn, The Shein. The Best Daily Liveweight gain Bullock of 1.213kgper day,
the Highest Gross Margin Bullock and Best Paraded and Presented was a
532kg British Blue from Sophie Tucker, 21 Smith Terrace, Wick.
The Best Gross Margin Heifer Section went to Katie Gunn, Shop Farm for a
501kg Limousin Heifer.
The Special Prize for best placed Charolais Cross Sired by a Registered
Charolais Bull presented by the Scottish and Northern Charolais Club went to
Sophie Gunn, The Shein, Hill of Forss.

today with a buzzing ringside of buyers present for all classes. "

A Charolais cross bullock from Michael Shearer, Lythmore, Westfield, Thurso, took the prime cattle championship at Aberdeen and Northern Marts' annual Christmas show and sale held at Caithness Livestock Centre.   Tapped out by judge Bill Cameron, Burnside of Edingight, Grange, was a 20-month-old, home-bred bullock weighing 621kg.

Monday 31st October 2011 QUOYBRAE, Aberdeen and Northern Marts (October 31st) sold 145 store and breeding cattle.   Bullocks (65) averaged 181.7p per kg to 234p for two 312kg Charolais from J A C Campbell, Mayfield, Weydale, Thurso and £1,000 gross for a 537kg Simmental from Mrs A Flockhart, Sunray Cottage, Huna, Wick.

Quoybrae, Aberdeen & Northern Marts (15th October 2007) sold 466 Store Cattle Champion in the show, judged by Scott Watson, Carnoustie was a 626kg Charolais bullock from J T M MacKay, Thura Mains, Bower and sold for £800 to W & J Cameron, Burnside of Edingight, Grange, Keith.  Reserve was a 538kg Limousin bullock also from J T M MacKay and sold for £680 to Blair Duffton, Bogie Street, Huntly.

QUOYBRAE, Aberdeen & Northern Marts (4th October) sold 6,852 Store Sheep Ewe Lambs (1,108) averaged £28.17 and sold to £51 for Half-Breds from C MacAdie & Sons, Skaill, Thurso Wedder Lambs (1,275) averaged £22.63 and sold to £30 for Half-Breds from J Banks, The Broo, John O'Groats.   Cross Lambs (4,023) averaged £26.55 and sold to £34 for Suffolks from A S Budge, Milton Farm, Halkirk.

QUOYBRAE, Aberdeen & Northern Marts (3rd September) sold 6,133 Store Lambs at the re-sheduled first combined sale from Dunbeath, Bettyhill, Forsinard and North West Sutherland areas.   Overall average was £29.06 showing a decrease of £2.05 from Dunbeath & Bettyhill areas and a decrease of £1.24 on all other areas from last year.
