DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (September, 30th) sold 8,980 store lambs including 1,087 sheep on behalf of Lewis Livestock Producers.
Lambs (7,673) averaged £44.55 and sold to £78 gross for Cheviot ewe lambs from Inver Croft, Tain.
Feeding sheep (190) sold to £78 gross for Cheviot ewes from Taransay, Isle of Harris.
Lewis Livestock Producers lambs (1,087) sold to £75.50 gross for Texel crosses from 55 Cross Skigersta Road, Port of Ness.
"Strong lambs of all classes showed a considerable increase on the last sale, second draw and long keeping lots sold at similar rates."
