"Dingwall Marts annual show and sale of Blackface rams and females was once again kindly sponsored by HBS Ring Ltd and PK Nutrition and expertly judged by Miss Stacey Tinny from Glen Avon Estate. A tremendous entry of tups were placed before our judge, who's key preferences were skins and bodies. It was the first prize shearling ram from A & J Nairn, Clashnoir who had a skin like a seal and realised £1,200. The reserve ticket went to the first prize lamb from the Towiemore stable which cashed in at £800. Topping the sale however was a combined effort today as Phil Stewart from Bomakelloch with a £5,000 Burncastle son which casted in at £4,000 to Wester Crosswoodhill. Not to be put out of the limelight the Clashnoir team placed a phenomenal bore lad with plenty of carcass into the ring. Messrs Cameron, Woodhall were the victors after a ferocious frenzy of bidding from all over the gantry"
