DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (October 30th) sold 449 adult head of breeding cattle.

Heifer with calf at foot (22) sold to £3,300 gross for a British Blue heifer with a Limousin cross calf from Muirton Mains, Urray.
Cow with calf at foot (96) sold to £3,200 gross for a Simmental cross cow with a Aberdeen Angus cross calf from the 1 Dounie, Edderton.
In calf heifers (198) sold to £3,600 gross for a Limousin cross from Braes of Enzie, Buckie.
In calf cows (56) sold to £2,500 gross for a Limousin from 5 Dunans, Flodigarry.
Bulls (7) sold to £2,000 gross for a Beef Shorthorn cross from Achley Farm.
Bulling heifers (70) sold to £1,700 gross for a Beef Shorthorn from Hatton Cottage, Dallas.

"Dingwall Marts annual breeding sale once again saw an influx of buyers around the ring. Over twice the number was forward than last year which was mostly made up unfortunately of dispersals. The dispersal section met an animated trade which surpassed vendors expectations, whilst the in-calf heifers section met a mor hesitant enquiry which saw quality easily cashed. Big stuff heifers at decent ages were keenly bid for as too were the best-bred hill sorts."
