DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (October, 19th) sold 727 weaned calves and store cattle.
Stot calves (333) averaged 195.4p and sold to 240.7p per kilo for a 295kg Charolais cross from Reisgill, Lybster.
Heifer calves (236) averaged 172.3p and sold to 227.4p per kilo for a 365kg British Blue from Corriebheinn Farms, Portree.
Store bullocks (111) averaged 182.2p and sold to and £1,100 gross for a 755kg Aberdeen Angus cross from Druminlochan, Kincraig.
Store heifers (36) averaged 176.4p and sold to and £935 gross for a 565kg Simmental cross from Ballone, Abriachan.
Young bulls (10) averaged 144.6p and sold to 200p per kilo for a 225kg Charolais cross from Reisgill, and £560 gross twice for a pair of 358kg Limousin crosses and a pair of 382kg Limousin crosses, all from 3 Hougharry, Lochmaddy.
