Last week Wick High School was delighted to welcome guests from The Highland Council, Wick High Parent Council and the wider community to the open day of a new facility for children with additional support needs. Avonlea, which was previously a residential unit, has now been repurposed, and this enhanced provision represents a significant step forward for pupils with complex additional support needs.

The Highland Youth Parliament (HYP) is delighted to announce the voting in of a new Chair and Vice Chair. Megan Travers from Wick High School will be HYP's new Chair, and Dougal Masterson from Dingwall Academy will be HYP's new Vice Chair for 2023-24.

This year, Wick High S2 Computing Science pupils took part in the BEBRAS UK Challenge. The challenge aims to introduce computational thinking to students and is designed to get students all over the world excited about Computing.

Wick High School Re-opening Tomorrow - Wednesday 1st December 2021 the school conformed today. Wick Community Campus will reopen tomorrow (Wednesday 1 December 2021) now that interim repairs have been completed following damage caused by Storm Arwen.

Yesterday, in slightly unfamiliar circumstamces due to Covid, we held our annual prizegiving ceremony. Sadly, it was not the same without parents/carers and associated guests, but nevertheless the outstanding achievements of so many of our pupils were evident.
