DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (November, 13th) sold 164 weaned calves and store cattle and 68 adult head of breeding cattle.
Stot calves (57) averaged 237.5p and sold to 279.2 per kilo for a pair of 308kg Charolais crosses from Tacher, Latheron and £940 gross for a 395kg Limousin cross also from Tacher.
Heifer calves (26) averaged 198.6p and sold to 262.7p per kilo for a pen of 217kg Limousin crosses from Carrol Farm, Brora and £700 gross for a 270kg Limousin cross from Blackwood, Locharron.
Store bullocks (38) averaged 217.4p and sold to 242.3p per kilo for a pen of 452kg Limousin crosses from 13 Nether Inshes, Inverness and £1,230 gross for a pen of 530kg Aberdeen Angus crosses Ordmuir, Muir of Ord.
Store heifers (39) averaged 205.4p and sold to 239.1p per kilo for a 460kg Limousin cross from Croft Grant, Dalchalm, and £1,130 gross for a 510kg Charolais cross from Achue, Spinningdale.
Young Bulls (4) sold to £670 gross for a Highland cross from 9 Beolary, Glenelg and sold to 243.9p per kilo for a Limousin cross from 7 Beolary, Glenelg.
In-calf Heifers (3) sold to £2,200 gross for a Simmental cross from, 91 Dalchalm, Brora.
In-calf Cows (24) sold to £1,320 gross for an Aberdeen Angus from Gordonhall, Kingussie.
Cow with male calf at foot (20) sold to £2,050 gross for a Simmental cross from Invertromie, Kingussie.
Cow with heifer calf at foot (16) sold to £2,250 gross for a Simmental cross from, Invertromie.
Heifer with heifer calf at foot (2) sold to £1,600 gross for a Charolais cross from, Attadale, Kyle of Lochalsh
Breeding Bull (3) sold to £1,280 gross for an Aberdeen Angus from 1 Kilaulay, Lochboisdale.
