21st February 2007
Mey Selections beef and lamb will now be available to restaurants and hoteliers in Caithness and Sutherland via Harrold Bros Butchers in Wick. On the 20th February Danny Miller, the Chairman of North Highland Products presented Neil Harrold with a signed Mey Selections Licensee certificate for display in Harrold's premises in Wick.
Danny Miller, chairman of North Highlands Products, who presented the certificate, said, "I am delighted to welcome Harrold Bros into the Mey Selections supply chain. We need quality butchers and foodservice suppliers to support and distribute our quality products. I fully expect that Harrold Bros will satisfy the demand for Mey Selections products that we have seen from a large number of restaurants and hotels in the area. We look forward to seeing the beef and lamb from our local farmers on more and more of the menu cards of catering establishments in the North Highlands. Neil will also be selling Mey Selections beef and lamb to retail customers in his shop in Wick."
Speaking in his shop in Wick Neil Harrold said, "We are pleased to be accepted as a Licensee of Mey Selections beef and lamb and look forward to increasing sales of this quality local product in the catering trade in the North Highlands. Our customers will be getting the same award-winning beef and lamb as famous restaurants in Glasgow or London. And I can promise you - it's delicious!"
Danny Miller went on to say, "Mey Selections provides a top quality product and it also guarantees a premium to our farmers. Our customers know that, by buying Mey Selections products, a little bit more money is going back into the local farming community. It's a win-win situation and one that I hope more and more people will support."
