DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (March, 5th) sold 624 store cattle, 40 adult head of breeding cattle and 58 OTM cattle.
Bullocks (360) averaged 242.8p and sold to 315.6p per kg for a 208kg Limousin cross from Lower Gartally, Drumnadrochit, and £1,460 gross for a 615kg Charolais cross from Druid Temple Farm, Inverness.
Heifers (264) averaged 228.3p and sold to 310.3p per kg and £1,350 gross for a 435kg Simmental cross from Eilburn, Conon Bridge.
In-calf heifers (7) sold to £1,620 gross twice for Charolais crosses from 1 Halistra, Waternish.
In-calf cows (33) sold to £1,780 gross twice for Charolais crosses from 1 Halistra.
OTM prime cows (35) averaged 140p per kg and sold to 197p per kg for a 675kg Limousin cross from 4 Bualnaluib, Aultbea, and £1,370 gross for a 765kg Limousin cross from Kinchyle, Scaniport.
OTM feeding cows (21) averaged 99.5p per kg and sold to 117.8p per kg for a 535kg Saler cross from Westfield Farm, and £690 gross for a 685kg Saler cross from Midburn, Lochussie.
OTM bullocks (one) sold to 161.2p per kg and £790 gross for a 490kg Simmental cross from Inchindown, Invergordon.
OTM bulls (one) sold to 106.9p per kg and £930 gross for an Aberdeen Angus from Ospisdale, Dornoch.
