DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts, (March, 26th) sold 2,177 sheep of all classes.
Lambs (652) averaged £57.60 and sold to £90 gross for Texel crosses from Heathmount, Tain.
Ewes (1,341) averaged £80.13 and sold to £138 gross twice for Texels from Wester Raddery, Fortrose, and Woodside, Muir of Tarradale.
In-lamb gimmers & ewes (77) averaged £70.69 and sold to £91 gross for Suffolks ewes from Gowan Brae, Skye of Curr.
Rams and feeding sheep (107) sold to £128 gross for a Texel from Keppoch Farm, Dundonnell.
“Store hoggs met a fast selling trade, with prime & feeding ewes meeting the dearest trade of the season.”
