DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (October, 2nd) sold 4,981 breeding and store sheep.
Breeding ewes (3,163) averaged £63.38 (+ £11.99 on the year) and sold to £121 gross twice for Cheviots from the reduction of the 67 Strathcanaird flock, Ullapool.
Feeding ewes (1,295) averaged £44.17 (+ £10.67 on the year) and sold to £82 gross for Suffolks from Strath of Pitcalnie, Nigg.
Gimmers (419) averaged £113.63 (+ £18.83 on the year) and sold to £152 gross for Texel crosses from Grantfield Farm, Tain.
Rams and wedders (18) sold to £105 gross for a Cheviot ram from 164/169 Portachuillin, Stromeferry.
