Local Farmer and chairman of Mey Selections Danny Miller was once again beating the trail to Sainsbury's in London to highlight the growing range of high quality food products from the north of Scotland that willbe available for stores in time for Christmas.

Suppliers from Mey Selections brought Christmas to Sainsburys HQ in July. Led by Tracy Waters, the Mey Selections team put on a fabulous show in its very own Mey Selections stand prepared especially for journalists and buyers at Sainsburys. Dermott Slade, development chef from Dunbia, was there to show and cook samples of beef and lamb cuts from the Mey Selections Gourmet Christmas offer. The stand also displayed the brand's oatcakes, honey and oat biscuits, shortbread, Barrogill whisky marmalade, preserves and chutneys, honey, and Mey Selections Barrogill whisky.

The stand and products were on display for two days and over 240 journalists were on the invite list. Sainsburys order for Christmas delivery of these products has a retail value of over �250,000 - marking another chapter in North Highland Products' growth and development. Suppliers travelled down to London from Reids Bakery in Thurso, Caithness Biscuits in Wick and Inver House Distillers in Airdrie to be on hand for the journalists. They will all be producing items for this Christmas order to the specifications given to them by Mey Selections.

Tracy Waters organised all the arrangements in London and after an exhausting three days said, "What a great event for Mey Selections. And what a wonderful welcome we were given by Sainsburys and the journalists - Caithness and Sutherland can be proud of the way we showed that natural goodness from the North Highlands should be part of everyone's Christmas".

Major Children's Food Festival Announced for June 2015

After all the months of planning, wondering if the idea would work, and waiting for stallholders to come forward, it was a great boost yesterday to see so many locals and visitors coming in to see us. Mey Selections - First To Put Carbon Labels On Products

Mey Selections becomes first Scottish consumer goods company to put carbon labels on products Mey Selections, the Caithness based food brand, is the first consumer goods company in Scotland to be certified with the Carbon Trust's Carbon Reduction Label. Mey Selections Luxury Shortbread and two Honey products will carry the Carbon Reduction Label in stores from 1 May, demonstrating the company's work to measure and, crucially, its commitment to reduce its carbon footprint over the next two years.

Barrogill Races Ahead With The Kandahar

The Kandahar Club races each year in Switzerland at the world famous Murren Inferno downhill ski race - the longest downhill race in the world. This year the North Highland's Mey Selections Barrogill has sponsored the Hulse-Palmer Cup which is awarded to the three Kandahar teams with the best improved times in the Inferno race, and to the member of the Club with the best individual performance.

Mey Selections Presents Royal Tweed To Duke and Duchess Of Rothesay

The Mey Selections brand has now been enhanced by a special range of tweeds designed and manufactured by world leading textiles and cashmere producers, Johnstons of Elgin, and developed in conjunction with HRH The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay. Mey Selections Castle of Mey Estate Tweed was launched at the new Johnstons �1.5million Heritage Centre yesterday where it was received by TRH The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay during their visit where they viewed the weaving of the tweed in one of the only traditional mills left in the country.
