DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (February, 18th) sold 501 store cattle, 16 adult head of breeding cattle and 48 OTM cattle.
Bullocks (257) averaged 247.9p and sold to 302.9p per kg for a 340kg Charolais cross from Pitmain Farm, Kingussie, and £1,430 gross for a 695kg Simmental cross from Inshes Farm, Inshes.
Heifers (244) averaged 234.3p and sold to 293.9p per kg for a 262kg Charolais cross from Creagmhor, Glenelg and £1,260 gross for a 640kg Simmental cross from Torran Farm, Delny.
In-calf heifers (2) sold to £1,220 gross for a Shorthorn cross from the dispersal of Rheindown, Beauly.
In-calf cows (12) sold to £1,250 gross for a Limousin cross from the dispersal of Munergie, Invergarry.
Cow with male calf at foot (1) sold to £950 gross for a Shorthorn cross from 149/250 Little Rogart, Rogart.
Bull (1) sold to £780 gross for a Belted Galloway from 38 South Galson, Isle of Lewis.
OTM prime cows (30) averaged 139.6p per kg and sold to 172.6p per kg for a 620kg Simmental cross from 16 Balvaird, Muir of Ord, and £1,210 gross for a 745kg Limousin cross from Heathmount, Tain.
OTM feeding cows (16) averaged 100.8p per kg and sold to 117.8p per kg for a 605kg British Blue cross from Wester Moy, Urray, and £790 gross for a 685kg Simmental cross from Moy & Ruthven, Moy.
OTM bulls (2) sold to 168.5p per kg and £1.230 gross for a Limousin from Guisachan, Tomich.
