DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts, (February, 25th) sold 2,657 sheep of all classes.
Lambs (1,147) averaged £53.16 and sold to £88 gross for Swaledale crosses from Leys Castle, Inverness.
Ewes (713) averaged £56.92 and sold to £130 gross for Texels from The Cloy, Fortrose.
In-lamb gimmers & ewes (711) averaged £99.58 and sold to £152 gross for Cheviots from the dispersal of the Culnaha flock, Nigg.
Rams and feeding sheep (86) sold to £135 gross for a Texel ram from Glendoe Estates, Fort Augustus.
"Strong store lambs, prime & feeding ewes sold well. Smaller lambs eased in value with breeding sheep meeting an extremely strong enquiry"
