DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts, (March, 11th) sold 2,194 sheep of all classes.
Lambs (903) averaged £55.31 and sold to £94 gross for Swaledale crosses from Leys Castle, Inverness.
Ewes (914) averaged £62.75 and sold to £130 gross twice for a Suffolk from Ankerville, Nigg, and Bleu du Maines from Tighnahinch, Alcaig.
In-lamb gimmers & ewes (315) averaged £94.26 and sold to £148 gross for Cheviots from Proncy, Dornoch.
Rams and feeding sheep (62) sold to £146 gross for Suffolks from Garfield, Dingwall.
"Store lambs with condition, prime & feeding ewes met an increased trade. Breeding sheep sold well, others more difficult to sell."
