DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (April 15th) sold 629 store cattle and 113 breeding heifers & 26 OTM cattle.
Store bullocks (331) averaged 241.2p and sold to 295.8p per kg for a pen of 240kg Romagnola crosses from Calrossie Mains, Nigg, and £1,250 gross for a 560kg Charolais cross from 2 Lochend, Barrock.
Store heifers (298) averaged 233p and sold to 309.9p per kg for a 355kg Limousin cross from Raitcastle Farm, Nairn, and £1,200 gross for 468kg Simmental crosses from Eilburn, Conon Bridge.
Breeding heifers majority HiHealth (113) averaged 266.4p and sold to 318.2p per kg for 440kg Simmental crosses from Broomton, Auldearn, and £1,440 gross for a 545kg Simmental cross also from Broomton.
Prime & feeding OTM cows (23) averaged 132p and sold to 171.7p per kg for a Limousin cross from 2 Easter Kinkell, Conon Bridge and £1,130 gross for a Shorthorn from Keppoch, Dundonnell.
OTM bulls (3) sold to 91.7p per kg for an 840kg Limousin from Conan Mains, Conon Bridge and £870 gross for a 990kg Simmental from Dunain Mains, Inverness.
