House of Morven 21st birthday party
15th May 2015
After almost 21 years of training chefs, beauticians and hairdressers, the North Highland College UHI's House of Morven would like to invite past students, employers, staff and graduates back for a 21st birthday party on Monday 1st June.
The House of Morven originally opened its doors on 6th June 1994 and has since seen thousands of students begin their careers within the service industries with them.
Anne Frew, Assistant Director Service Industries said; "The hospitality, hair and beauty section has changed and developed a great deal since moving into the House of Morven 21 years ago and we really do hope that as many of our past students as possible will come back to celebrate this great landmark with us. Over the years, we have seen literally thousands of budding chefs, hairdressers and beauty therapists graduate from the college and we look forward to hearing about the careers they have gone on to have. It will also be a great opportunity for our current students to network and be inspired by the people in whose footsteps they are following."
Attendees can enjoy refreshments and a summer BBQ from 14:00 to 16:00 which will be cooked by the current professional cookery students. The party is free to attend but confirmation of attendance is required, this can be done through the North Highland College UHI website or by calling 01847 889000. Current students will be organising raffles and prizes to raise money for their end of year educational trip as well as tours to show the changes to the facilities.
Past students and staff are invited to get involved with the party planning on the House of Morven Facebook event page where old coursework and memorabilia can be shared.
