DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (May, 27th) sold 226 store cattle and 31 OTM cattle.
Bullocks (106) averaged 239.4p and sold to 287p per kg for a pen of 270kg Romagnola crosses from Calrossie Mains, Nigg Station, and £1,180 gross for a 525kg Charolais cross from Glenbrittle, Isle of Skye.
Heifers (109) averaged 226.4p and sold to 290.5p per kg for pen of 241kg Whitbred Shorthorn crosses from Cairnurenan, Conon Bridge, and £1,070 gross for a 515kg Aberdeen Angus cross from Achavraat, Nairn.
Young bulls (11) averaged 200.2p and sold to 227.3p per kg for 308kg Salers from Coilach, Muir of Ord, and £1,000 gross for a 470kg Charolais cross from 20 Lonbuie, Kiltarlity.
Breeding cattle (one) sold £1,020 gross for a Limousin cross cow with calf at foot from 3 Kilvaxter, Isle of Skye.
OTM prime & feeding cows (27) averaged 126.4p and sold to 168.3p per kg for a 600kg Limousin cross from Newton of Darnaway, Forres, and £1,190 gross for a 790kg Limousin cross from Mulchaich, Conon Bridge.
OTM bullocks (one) sold to 151.4p per kg and £1,090 gross for a 720kg Shorthorn from Dalchiel, Dornoch.
OTM bulls (three) sold to 117.3p per kg and £1,290 gross for a 1100kg Charolais from Achue, Ardgay.
