Portree Lamb Sales Get Excellent Demand But Prices Down On Last Year

PORTREE, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (3 September 2007) sold 4,188 store lambs.
Lambs sold to a top of £40.50 for Texel crosses from No. 44 Boneskitaig, Kilmuir.
"Strong lambs met an excellent demand and were of requirement. In general lambs lacked size of previous years and sale averages showed a decrease of £5.75 on the year."
