DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (September, 18th) sold 5,526 store lambs and sheep.
Blackface lambs (4,024) sold to £64 gross for ewe lambs from 13 Peinchorran, Portree.
Other breeds (1,466) sold to £56.50 gross for Charollais crosses from Pitmain Farm, Kingussie.
"Well-bred Blackface lambs in good condition sold at rates ahead of expectations with some lots showing an increase on the year."
