PORTREE, Dingwall and Highland Marts Ltd., (October, 12th) sold 103 weaned calves and store cattle, 6 breeding cattle and 38 OTM cattle.
Bullocks (52) averaged 218.5p and sold to 250.0p per kg for a pair of 180kg Charolais crosses from 5 Borreraig, Dunvegan, and £800 gross for a 420kg Limousin cross from 4 Treaslane, Skeabost Bridge.
Heifers (51) averaged 204.8p and sold to 256.3p per kg for a 160kg Limousin cross from 2 Dunans, Flodigarry, and £890 gross for a 440kg Limousin cross from 5 Mill Park, Isle of Raasay.
Breeding cattle (6) sold to £950 gross for a Limousin cross cow with a bullock calf from 1 Maligar, Portree.
OTM cattle (38) sold to 133.3 per kg for a 480kg Limousin cross cow from 27 Stenscholl, Staffin, and £920 gross for a 700kg Limousin cross from 4 Drummuie, Portree.
