DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd, (August, 26th) sold 107 rams at its fifth annual ‘Great from Grass' on farm sale of rams at Fearn Farm, Tain, on behalf of Messrs J Scott & Partners.
Texel shearlings (39) averaged £667.42 and sold to 1,050 guineas.
New Zealand Suffolk shearlings (20) averaged £563.85 and sold to 820 guineas.
Beltex & Beltex x Suffolk shearlings (10) averaged £426.30 and sold to 735 guineas.
Aberfield shearlings (38) averaged £743.57 and sold to 1,450 guineas.
"A similar number to last year saw strong shearlings of all breeds meet an excellent demand."
