FORT WILLIAM, Dingwall and Highland Marts Ltd., (September, 17th) sold 673 weaned calves and store cattle, 12 OTM cattle and 3 adult head of breeding cattle.
Bullocks (404) averaged 272.7p (-15.1p on the year) and sold to 356.1p per kg for a pen of 205kg Charolais crosses from Dunlichity Farm, Farr, and £1000 gross thrice for a pen of 540kg Limousin crosses, 490kg Simmental crosses and a 550kg Limousin cross from South Laggan, Spean Bridge.
Heifers (269) averaged 250.0p (-23.5p on the year) and sold to 347.8p per kg for a pen of 230kg Simmental crosses from Arisaig Farms, Arisaig, and £960 gross for a 465kg Limousin cross from Fersit, Roy Bridge.
Breeding cattle (3) sold to £960 gross for a Limousin cross cow with a male calf at foot from Kengharaie, Isle of Mull.
OTM cows (12) sold to 110.1p per kg for a 645kg Aberdeen Angus cross from Skye View, Arisaig, and £770 gross for a 720kg Shorthorn cross also from Skye View.
