DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd, (September, 24th) sold 405 rams and females at its annual show and sale sponsored by Norvite.
The judges, Mr Graham & Mr Lewis Smith, Towiemore, Drummuir, awarded the overall show champion and winner of the Mountrich trophy to a Texel shearling from Mr D. Webster Lower Reiss Farm, Wick which realised £1,750 and the reserve champion was awarded to a Blue Faced Leicester shearling from Mr G. Mackenzie, Broomhill Farm, Muir of Ord, which realised £1,000.
The N. C. Cheviot Park champion was awarded to a shearling from Messrs G. R. G. McCallum & Son, Belmaduthy, Munlochy, which realised £700.
Charollais shearlings (10) sold to £450 from Upper Auchenlay, Dunblane.
Beltex shearlings (24) sold to £620 from Braes of Coulmore, North Kessock.
Suffolk shearlings (79) sold to £850 from North Essie, Strichen.
Texel shearlings (122) sold to £1,750 for the overall champion from Lower Reiss Farm.
Blue Faced Leicester shearlings (49) sold to £1,000 for the reserve champion champion from Broomhill Farm, Muir of Ord.
Cross shearlings (11) sold to £500 from Upper Auchenlay.
Blue Du Maine shearlings (one) sold to £450 from Tighnahinch, Alcaig.
Cheviot rams (22) sold to £700 from Belmaduthy Farm, Munlochy.
Zwartbles ram lambs (2) sold to £100 from Marian, Evanton.
Suffolk ram lambs (14) sold to £400 from East House, Orkney.
Texel ram lambs (11) sold to £500 from Wester Raddery, Fortrose.
Blue Faced Leicester ram lambs (one) sold to £500 from Blackford Farm, Croy.
Females (59) sold to £250 (twice) for Suffolk gimmers from Ashton Farm Cottage, Inverness.

Today realising £1,750.00 to Mr J. A. Coghill, Huna, Caithness.
