DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (November, 22nd) sold 805 store cattle, 153 adult head of breeding cattle 141 OTM cattle.

Bullocks (417) averaged 228.1p and sold to 303.5p per kilo for a 290kg British Blue cross from Shewglie Farm, Glenurquhart, and £1,200 gross for a 605kg Limousin cross from 4 Glaick, Ardross.

Heifers (386) averaged 212.3p and sold to 294.9p per kilo for a 295kg Limousin cross from Drummuie Farm, Golspie, and £1,260 gross for a 675kg Aberdeen Angus cross from the dispersal from Redhill, Allanfearn.

Young bulls (2) sold to 210.1p per kilo and £830 gross for a 395kg Limousin cross from Redhill.

In calf heifers (18) sold to £2,100 from Rychraggan Farm, Drumnadrochit.

In calf cows (66) sold to £1,600 thrice from the Redhill dispersal.

Heifers with male calf (8) sold to £1,750 from Rhevackin Farm, Kiltarlity.

Heifers with female calf (8) sold to £1,800 from Rhevackin.

Cows with male calf (21) sold to £1,650 from the dispersal of Heathmount herd, Tain.

Cows with female calf (25) sold to £1,700 from the Heathmount dispersal.

Cow with twin calves (one) sold to £1,800 from the Heathmount dispersal.

Bulls (6) sold to £2,800 for a Limousin from the Redhill dispersal.

OTM prime & feeding cows (135) averaged 117.0p and sold to 193.9p per kilo for a 655kg Simmental cross from Hilton Farm, Tain, and £1,370 gross for a 950kg Simmental cross from Meikle Ussie, Dingwall.

OTM bullocks (one) sold to 198.1p per kg and £1,070 gross for a 540kg Limousin cross from Tomchrasky, Glenmoriston.

OTM bulls (5) averaged 153.7p and sold to 184.5p per kilo and £1,070 gross twice for a 580kg Limousin from Tomchrasky and a 1025kg Simmental from Hilton Farm, Tain.

"Quality weaned calves sold very well, plainer kinds more difficult to cash."
