DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (April, 9th) sold 257 store cattle in a special show and sale.
Bullocks (114) averaged 145.8p and sold to 206.2p per kg and �1000 gross.
Heifers (143) averaged 138.8p and sold to 216.9p per kg and �900 gross.

Bullocks (114) averaged 145.8p and sold to 206.2p per kg and �1000 gross for a 485kg Limousin cross from Lochbuie, Newtonmore.
Heifers (143) averaged 138.8p and sold to 216.9p per kg and �900 gross for a 415kg Charolais cross from Aberchalder, Invergarry.
In the Scottish Fuels and Neil Ross Tractors sponsored show the judge, Jack Whytock, Midtown of Haddo, Huntly, awarded the Overall Champion to a 485kg Limousin cross bullock from Messrs D & B Mackenzie, Lochbuie, Newtonmore, which realised �1000 to D Morrison, 141 Burnside, Kinlochbervie, and the Reserve Champion to a 415kg Charolais cross heifer, from Messrs A Smith & Co, Aberchalder, Invergarry, realising �900 to Messrs W J Jack & Son, Woodend, Killearnan.

Continental Prize list:
Single bullock: 1st Lochbuie, 485kg �1000; 2nd Aberchalder, 530kg �860.
Single heifer: 1st Aberchalder, 415kg �900; 2nd Easter Strath, Killen 460kg �665.
