DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (April, 9th) sold 558 Aberdeen Angus store cattle in a special show and sale.
Bullocks (304) averaged 140.3p and sold to 151.7p per kg and £835 gross.
Heifers (247) averaged 133.8p and sold to 166.7p per kg and £790 gross.
Young bulls (7) averaged 115.4p and sold to 134.3p per kg and £500 gross.

Bullocks (304) averaged 140.3p and sold to 151.7p per kg for a pen of 458kg Aberdeen Angus crosses from Easter Duthil, Carrbridge, and £835 gross for a 665kg Aberdeen Angus from Lochdhu, Nairn.
Heifers (247) averaged 133.8p and sold to 166.7p per kg for a pen of 420kg Aberdeen Angus from Wester Fearn, Ardgay, and £790 gross for a 530kg Aberdeen Angus also from Wester Fearn.
Young bulls (7) averaged 115.4p and sold to 134.3p per kg for a 350kg Aberdeen Angus from Mountpleasant, Rosemarkie, and £500 gross for a 477kg Aberdeen Angus cross from Glenurquhart Farm, Cromarty.
In the Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society, Harbro, and Aberdeen Journals sponsored show the judge, Jack Whytock, Midtown of Haddo, Huntly, awarded the Overall Champion to a 580kg Aberdeen Angus bullock from E. L. M. Laing, Wester Fearn, Ardgay, which realised £810 to Auchtydore Farms, Easterton of Lednabo, Mintlaw, and the Reserve Champion to a 555kg Aberdeen Angus heifer, from E. L. M. Laing, realising £770 to Messrs A & L Jackson, Beningbrough Home Farm, York.
