DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (April, 24th) sold 22 pedigree bulls at their annual show and sale sponsored by Messrs Mackenzie, Whitebog, Fortrose.
The judge, Mr G Rhind, Newton of Struthers, Kinloss, awarded the supreme overall champion to Knock Nearco, a 23 month old Limousin, from Messrs A & G Howie, West Knock, Peterhead to H I MacKinnon Esq, 6 Heastie Broadford for 3,500gns. The reserve champion went to Caithness Nick a 24 month old Charolais from Messrs D & M Campbell, Lingland, Occumster to W Nicolson Esq, 15 Glenconon, Uig for 4,000gns.
Pedigree bulls (22) sold to a top of 4,000gns for the reserve champion and averaged 2,489gns (£2,613.07).

Heifer with male calf (7) sold to £1,850 gross for a Saler from Whitebog.
In calf cows (1) sold to £1,120 gross for a Saler cross from Whitebog.
In calf heifers (8) sold to £1,550 gross twice for Simmental crosses from Fanblair Farm.
