DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (May, 22nd) sold 91 pedigree and commercial Luing cattle at their eleventh annual spring breeding sale sponsored by W & A Geddes and Harbro Ltd.
Pedigree bulling heifers (47) averaged £2,084.36 and sold to 2,750gns (£2,887.50), twice for 25 month old heifers from Mr G. MacRae, Kintail, 120 Newton of Ferintosh, to James McCaig Farms, Wester Jawcraig, Falkirk.
Pedigree yearling heifers (10) averaged £858.90 and sold to 950gns (£997.50) twice for 13 month old heifers from Mr J. M. Haley, Lochan Farm, Kinrossie to Messrs J. Caygill & Partners, Manor House, Rylstone.
Sim/Luing heifers (27) averaged £1,105.61 and sold to 1,620gns (£1,701.00) from Mr G. Macrae, Kintail to Messrs J. & P. Callion, 6 Skreen Road, Dromore.
Breeding cattle (2) sold to 800gns (£840) for a Luing in calf cow from Mr J. Haley, Lochan Farm, to Messrs J. McKenzie & Co, Wester Craiglands, Fortrose.
Bulls (5) sold to 3,100gns (£3,255) for a 25 month old from Messrs J. J. & R. Cameron, Monzie Farm, a shared purchase by Mr F. S. Renwick, Inverbroom & Shinness Luing, Shinness.

Prime Bullocks (4) averaged 196.7p (+2.2p) and sold to 209.0p per kg for a 540kg Limousin cross from Ashley, North Kessock selling to Messrs Fraser Brothers, Butchers, Dingwall and £1,301.50 gross for a 685kg Simmental cross from Bridgend Farm, Dingwall selling to Messrs John M Munro Ltd, Dingwall.
PORTREE, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (September, 16th) sold 2,405 store lambs & feeding sheep. Lambs (2,240) averaged £39.13 (+£5.38 on the year) and sold to £69 gross for Crosses from 15 Glenconon, Uig.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (September, 13th) sold 4,970 store lambs. Cheviot wedder lambs (1,192) averaged £40.64 and sold to £56.00 gross from Free Farm, Tomatin.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (September, 12th) sold 8,231 store lambs. Cheviot lambs averaged £44.06 (+£0.34 on the year) and sold to £70 gross for a pen of ewe lambs from Ardchronie, Ardgay.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highlands Marts Ltd, (September, 9th) sold 3,719 ewe lambs and gimmers at the Highland Mule Breeders Association annual show and sale. The gimmer judge, Mr A.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts, (September, 5th) sold 1,612 store and breeding sheep incorporating annual sale of HISHA accredited sheep and 519 on behalf of Lewis Livestock Producers. Gimmers (543) averaged £99.89 (+£1.67 on the year) and sold to £148 gross for a pen of Cheviot Mules from Newmore, Muir of Ord.
LOCHMADDY, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (September 2nd) sold 3,118 store lambs. Lambs (3,118) sold to £74 gross for a Suffolk cross lamb from 15 Liniclate, Benbecula.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd, (August, 30th) sold 111 rams and 100 gimmers at its eighth annual ‘Great from Grass' on farm sale at Fearn Farm, Tain, on behalf of Messrs J Scott & Partners. Texel shearlings (37) averaged £683.35 (£674.05 last year) and sold to 1,250 guineas twice.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (August 29th) sold 9,180 store lambs at their annual sale. Cheviot wedder lambs (3,939) averaged £47.86 (+£3.17 on the year) and sold to £65.00 gross from Struie Villa, Embo.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (August, 27th) sold 15 prime cattle. Prime Bullocks (2) averaged 205.4p (+2.4p) and sold to 210.0p per kg and £1,206.00 gross.
