DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (October, 3rd) sold 3,630 breeding and store sheep.

Breeding ewes (2,924) averaged £63.90 (£53.83 last year) and sold to £128 for a pair of Cheviots from Ose Farm, Struan.

Feeding ewes (360) averaged £46.21 (£34.49 last year) and sold to £79 for a pair of Beltex crosses from Simpsons Croft, Scotsburn.

Gimmers (286) averaged £89.07 (£92.47 last year) and sold to £150 for Cheviot Mules from 134 West Langwell, Rogart.

Feeding sheep (33) sold to £95 for a Cheviot ram from West View, Inverness.

"Gimmers & correct ewes were in high demand. All classes of feeders were sharper on the week."
