DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts, (April, 1st) sold 3,913 sheep of all classes including the annual spring sale of ewe lambs.   Ewe lambs (1,654) averaged £67.74 (-5.52 on the year) and sold to £90 gross (trice) for pens of Cheviots from Viewbay, Munlochy, (twice) and a pen of Beltex crosses from Simpsons croft, Scotsburn.

MSP Concerned About Small Self Catering Businesses

MSP concerned that owners of self-catering businesses will still go without business support during coronavirus crisis.   Owners of self-catering businesses have got back in touch with Highlands and Islands Labour MSP, Rhoda Grant, to say they are still not eligible for the business support grant, despite positive announcements from the Scottish Government's Finance Secretary.

Support For Gp Practices - Extra help with coronavirus pressures

Additional funding of £15 million will be provided to GP practices to help them cope with extra pressures arising from coronavirus (COVID-19).   Around a third of the funding is intended to allow practices to remain open on Good Friday and Easter Monday if it is safe to do so - helping to alleviate pressures on out-of-hours services.
