Passengers jetting off from Airports this weekend will be warned about the risks of buying fake goods while abroad. As people prepare to take off for the October break, officers and staff from the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency (SCDEA) will be at Inverness airport on Saturday 8 October 2011 to highlight the links between fake goods and serious organised crime, and the health and safety risks associated with counterfeit products.
A group of five staff members from Caithness Horizons have successfully completed an EDI National Award in Cultural and Heritage Venue Operations. Caithness Horizons is the only museum in the Highlands to have staff that have achieved this award.

A new payment strategy introduced by The Highland Council in April of this year is proving a success, with improving acceptance by customers of the new arrangements that are achieving significant efficiency savings.
