The Highland Council is preparing to carry out improvement works in Thurso at Ormlie Road and at The Mall riverside path adjacent to Janet Street.

The scope of works on Ormlie Road will include junction improvements between Castlegreen Road and Juniper Drive with new drop kerbs and tactile paving and some surface repairs.

At the Mall the footpath will be widened, resurfaced, vegetation trimmed and the A9 park entrance relocated to the corner of Janet Street. The path towards the bridge will have surface repairs and the bridge leading to the Boating Pond abutment repairs.

Work is scheduled to start between Monday 6 and Saturday 12 January 2025 and will be completed in April 2025.
