The New Naver Bridge, located in Bettyhill along the A836, is now open to traffic.
Though currently open only as single carriageway, the new bridge, which is part of the North Coast 500, welcomed its first cars at the end of February.
The next major phase of work will be the demolition of the existing bridge, which starts on Thursday 5th March 2026 and continues until the end of March 2026.
The project has replaced the aged single track wrought iron plate girder bridge over the River Naver.
Wills Bros Civil Engineering are completing the works on behalf of The Highland Council.
Chair of The Highland Council's Economy and Infrastructure Committee, Councillor Ken Gowans said: "This vital transport link is a major north coast project which demonstrates our commitment to improving the infrastructure in rural areas of Highland.
"It is great to see the route now open for traffic and thanks go to contractors and our council staff for all their work to date.
“We offer sincere appreciation for the ongoing support and patience shown by local residents and stakeholders from the beginning of this project. Local cooperation continues to be invaluable as the project progresses."
