Bank Of England Now Expects Inflation To Rise From 9 To Above 11 Percent In October

CPI inflation is expected to be over 9% during the next few months and to rise to slightly above 11% in October.  The increase in October reflects higher projected household energy prices following a prospective additional large increase in the Ofgem price cap.

iPads packed with information and support for people with type 2 diabetes will be available from High Life Highland libraries.   There is a growing prevalence of type 2 diabetes in Scotland, and it is hoped technology, loaded with health information, access to online peer support, online education and helping people access appointments will improve people's access to the right healthcare.

Uk Trade And Procurement Bills Should Be Reviewed

The Scottish Government has recommended that the Scottish Parliament refuse consent for two Bills being introduced by the UK Government.   Trade Minister Ivan McKee has said the UK Procurement Bill and the Trade (Australia and New Zealand) Bill would currently allow UK Ministers to legislate in matters that are devolved to the Scottish Parliament, including implementing trade agreements in Scotland without the scrutiny of MSPs.

Quarterly Housing Statistics, June 2022

There were 20,056 all-sector new build homes completed in Scotland in the year to end September 2021, according to quarterly statistics on housebuilding and affordable housing supply published today by Scotland's Chief Statistician.  This is an increase of 26% (4,174 homes) on the 15,882 completions in the previous year, in which activity levels were impacted by Coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown measures.
