UK Space Agency Awards Ten Technologies To Purify Water Frozen In Moon's Soil

UK finalists awarded funding through the joint UK-Canada £1.2 million Aqualunar Challenge to develop new lunar water purifying technologies.   the Aqualunar Challenge is a £1.2 million international prize funded by the UK Space Agency's International Bilateral Fund and delivered by Challenge Works.

Weather Cools Euros Effect As Hospitality Groups Score 2.9% Sales Growth In June

Britain's top hospitality groups recorded year-on-year sales growth of 2.9% in June 2024, the latest CGA RSM Hospitality Business Tracker reveals.   The figure is down slightly from May's rate of 3.6%, but ahead of the current rate of inflation, as measured by the Consumer Prices Index, and is the eighth period of growth in the last nine months.

New Funding For Carbon Capture And Storage

NDA Group Establishes Innovative Partnership To Manage Asbestos Waste At Legacy Nuclear Sites

The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA), in collaboration with its subsidiary Nuclear Waste Services (NWS), has awarded two contracts to establish an innovative partnership for the enhanced management of asbestos waste.   The Asbestos Innovation Partnership (AIP) will work with the NDA, NWS and the supply chain, to test and develop new solutions to treat asbestos waste, helping to deliver efficiencies and enable more effective waste management.
