NDA Reaffirms Cooperation With Korea Radioactive Waste Agency
Leaders from the UK's Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA), and the Korea Radioactive Waste Agency (KORAD) signed their second cooperation statement. Yesterday, Monday 20 November 2023, leaders from the UK's Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA), and the Korea Radioactive Waste Agency (KORAD) reaffirmed their commitment to share their knowledge, experience and technology in relation to the management of radioactive waste.16/11/2023
Work Begins To Permanently Secure Low Level Nuclear Waste Vaults
A key programme of work at the Low Level Waste Repository in Cumbria is making real progress. The Repository, which is part of Nuclear Waste Services (NWS) and manages disposal of the UK's low level radioactive waste, has started key work on the final capping of historic trenches and vaults which are now full and ready for permanent closure.16/11/2023

A Mace-led Team Has Been Selected By The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) To Support With Clean-up Activities At 17 Sites Across The UK
International construction and consultancy firm, Mace, along with AtkinsRealis, Gleeds and i3Works, will deliver a range of project & programme management and project controls services as part of a four-year framework with the NDA - the non-departmental public body working on behalf of government to clean-up the UK's earliest nuclear sites safely, securely and cost effectively. A Mace, AtkinsRealis and Gleeds alliance has been working collaboratively with the NDA for the past two years via a framework, and i3Works has now joined the team for this latest edition to add even more capability and capacity.12/10/2023
