A new Fellowship has been launched, providing funding for research into supporting the viability and sustainability of crofts and small farms in the North Highlands.   The project seeks to investigate the potential of small to medium sized regenerative farmers to work at a scale that would allow them to supply to local hotels and restaurants, local shops and supermarkets.

A Mace-led Team Has Been Selected By The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) To Support With Clean-up Activities At 17 Sites Across The UK
International construction and consultancy firm, Mace, along with AtkinsRealis, Gleeds and i3Works, will deliver a range of project & programme management and project controls services as part of a four-year framework with the NDA - the non-departmental public body working on behalf of government to clean-up the UK's earliest nuclear sites safely, securely and cost effectively.   A Mace, AtkinsRealis and Gleeds alliance has been working collaboratively with the NDA for the past two years via a framework, and i3Works has now joined the team for this latest edition to add even more capability and capacity.

Caithness Groups Get Lottery Awards
A number of groups in Caithness were on a long list of Scottish awards from the lottery.   Caithness KLICS (SCIO) Medium Grants Scotland: Improving Lives £76,763 Highland The group will use the funding to offer a range of activities for young carers, including weekly group sessions and after school sessions to reduce stress and provide respite bringing some normality into their lives.
