West Coast Sand Mine Steps Up Production

A sand mining company in Lochaber is set to double its production and increase annual turnover by more than £2.6m.   Lochaline Quartz Sand Limited (LQS) has secured up to £230,000 investment from Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) towards the £855,000 costs of upgrading equipment on site.

English Councils will receive £1.6 billion in funding to repair roads and fill potholes to start to reverse a decade of decline on our roads.   Transport Secretary announces nearly £1.6 billion to fix potholes across England for next year and clamps down on disruptive street works.

UK House Price Index For October 2024

The UK HPI shows house price changes for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.   UK house prices rose by 3.4% in the year to October 2024, up from the revised estimate of 2.8% in the 12 months to September 2024.
