DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (April, 9th) sold 31 OTM cattle. Cows (23) averaged 111.7p and sold to 123.8p per kg for a 755kg Limousin from Kinnahaird Farm, Contin and �1,060 gross for a 885kg Limousin cross from 103 Carnan, Lochboisdale.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (April, 9th) sold 558 Aberdeen Angus store cattle in a special show and sale. Bullocks (304) averaged 140.3p and sold to 151.7p per kg and �835 gross.

Mey Selections Castle of Mey Estate Tweed was launched at the new Johnstons �1.5million Heritage Centre yesterday where it was received by TRH The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay during their visit where they viewed the weaving of the tweed in one of the only traditional mills left in the country.

Visiting Russian buyers were introduced to the full Mey Selections range at the 'Meet the Russian Buyers' event, held last week at Culloden House Hotel, Inverness. The event, organised by Scottish Development International, brought together buyers from six Russian companies looking to source quality Scottish food and drink products.

Mey Selections was one of the sponsors of this year's Scottish Tourism Week 4-11 March, which saw a number of events taking place throughout the country. One hundred and fifty people representing the Scottish tourism industry enjoyed the delicious taste of Mey Selections lamb, cheese and oatcakes at the Scottish Tourism Dinner held last week in Glasgow, while another 180 guests sampled Barrogill whisky, along with Mey Selections cheeses, oatcakes, chutneys, jams, honeys, shortbread and biscuits at a reception held at the Scottish Parliament at Holyrood.

The Wick office of North Highland Products hosted a ceremony to announce the winners of the 2007 Mey Selections Producer of the Year Awards. The winners in each of three categories - Aberdeen Angus, Commerical Cattle and Lamb, each received a silver cup and �100 prize.
