ALL CLASSES LAMBS, EWES & RAMS - SALE SUMMARY DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (10th April) sold 1553 store sheep of all classes.  Lambs (1003) to �60.  

Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd - Aberdeen Angus Sale - 9 April 2008

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (April, 9th) sold 558 Aberdeen Angus store cattle in a special show and sale.  Bullocks (304) averaged 140.3p and sold to 151.7p per kg and �835 gross.  

Mey Selections Presents Royal Tweed To Duke and Duchess Of Rothesay

The Mey Selections brand has now been enhanced by a special range of tweeds designed and manufactured by world leading textiles and cashmere producers, Johnstons of Elgin, and developed in conjunction with HRH The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay.   Mey Selections Castle of Mey Estate Tweed was launched at the new Johnstons �1.5million Heritage Centre yesterday where it was received by TRH The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay during their visit where they viewed the weaving of the tweed in one of the only traditional mills left in the country.  

Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd - Sale 2 April - 29 OTM cattle

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (April, 2nd) sold 29 OTM cattle.  Beef cows (16) averaged 104.8p and sold to 115.6p per kg and �815 gross for a 705kg Shorthorn cross from Easter Sheep Park, Balblair.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (April, 1st) sold 72 prime cattle.  Prime bullocks (51) averaged 156.9p (+6.2p) and sold to 169p per kg and �1,147.60 gross.  

Russian Buyers See The Best Of Mey Selections

Visiting Russian buyers were introduced to the full Mey Selections range at the 'Meet the Russian Buyers' event, held last week at Culloden House Hotel, Inverness.  The event, organised by Scottish Development International, brought together buyers from six Russian companies looking to source quality Scottish food and drink products.  

Mey Selections provides 'veritable feast' during Scottish Tourism Week

Mey Selections was one of the sponsors of this year's Scottish Tourism Week 4-11 March, which saw a number of events taking place throughout the country.  One hundred and fifty people representing the Scottish tourism industry enjoyed the delicious taste of Mey Selections lamb, cheese and oatcakes at the Scottish Tourism Dinner held last week in Glasgow, while another 180 guests sampled Barrogill whisky, along with Mey Selections cheeses, oatcakes, chutneys, jams, honeys, shortbread and biscuits at a reception held at the Scottish Parliament at Holyrood.  

Dingwall & Highland Marts - Special Sale Of Rare and Minority Breeds 8th March 2008

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts (March, 8th) sold 28 cattle, 72 sheep, 18 pigs and 207 lots of poultry and equipment at their special sale of rare and minority breeds.   Cattle (28) sold to �410 for a Highland cow with bullock calf at foot from, Oldany Farm, Drunbeg.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (February 27th) sold 2,313 sheep of all classes.   Store lambs (1,535) sold to �52 for Texel crosses from Cypress Cottage, Achterneed, and for Cheviots from No.  

Mey Selections Producers Of The Year 2007 Announced

The Wick office of North Highland Products hosted a ceremony to announce the winners of the 2007 Mey Selections Producer of the Year Awards.   The winners in each of three categories - Aberdeen Angus, Commerical Cattle and Lamb, each received a silver cup and �100 prize.
