DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (August 30th) sold 8,257 store lambs and four wedders at their annual district sale.   Ewe lambs (1,974) averaged �24.88 and sold to �38 gross for Cheviots from No.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (September, 6th) sold 5,495 store, breeding and feeding sheep.   Charolais cross (65) averaged �35.32 and sold to �41 gross from Achtuie, Drumnadrochit.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (September, 5th) sold 32 prime cattle and 405 prime sheep.   Prime bullocks (15) averaged 128.5p (+4.4p) and sold to 139p per kg for a 640kg Charolais cross from Balchraggan, Dores, and �897.60 gross for a 660kg Charolais cross from Udale, Poyntzfield, both to John M Munro Ltd., Dingwall.

Dingwall & Highland Marts Limited held their first Prime sale since the restrictions on the movement of livestock were lifted following the Foot and Mouth outbreak in England.  The firm had their firs sale of over 2000 lambs in Portree on Monday the 27th August 2007 and have rescheduled sales over the next fortnight as follows.

Caithness company receives Investors in People 10 Year Achievement Award
A Caithness-based organisation has received an award in recognition of its 10 year commitment to using the business improvement tool, the Investors in People Standard.   Ackergill Tower picked up the accolade at a gala dinner at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Wednesday evening (23 March 2005).
